Lorenol Labs® has four products that are especially recommended for dry, cracked skin. They are highly protective and moisturizing but not heavy or greasy. This system is designed to seal the skin against water loss and to help promote repair to the damaged skin barrier. The inflammatory response triggered by dry, damaged skin is inhibited by the proprietary ingredients in LORENOL® I and II, which have shown significant improvement in restoring the skin's protective barrier. This significant dual effect breaks the cracked skin-inflammation cycle chain and allows the skin to recover more rapidly to reveal a more healthy, normal appearance.

When skin loses water, an inflammatory response is triggered, leading to dry, cracked, itchy skin and contact dermatitis that can cause further damage. Dermatitis, whether from a dry climate, allergens, or chemical irritants, can cause severe damage to the skin's protective barrier. This can be painful, particularly in the lower extremities. This condition can become more severe if the protective barrier is not restored to a healthy state immediately. Applying skincare products that seal the protective barrier helps the healing to begin faster. However, many "skin barrier repair" products are typically greasy, messy, and can leave a heavy film. For example, despite helping seal the skin against water loss, petrolatum-based products can be extremely greasy and counter-productive, especially for areas such as the hands and feet. Lorenol Labs® products rapidly penetrate the skin because they have a low MW, allowing them to deeply hydrate without leaving a heavy feel.
